Tree Trimming

Over time, trees and shrubs of all varieties will outgrow their space in a garden, so regular tree trimming is essential.

We advise arranging work to be carried out before the tree grows too big, when pruning will be more difficult, and expensive. However, this is not always possible, particularly if you have just moved into a new home.

The purpose of tree trimming is to reduce the size of the tree and to remove any damaged, diseased or dead branches. If your tree requires more heavier work, we suggest you look at our tree surgery pages.

When should tree trimming take place?

Every tree species has its own annual window when pruning is recommended. For example, many trees should be trimmed at the end of summer to give them the best chance of healing quickly.

Fruit and flowering will dictate when other trees need to be pruned.

As experienced and knowledgeable tree surgeons, we can advise on the best time to carry out tree trimming in your garden.

Another consideration is the law which prevents us from pruning trees when nesting birds are present. If we believe that a tree contains an active bird nest, we will postpone the work until after the nesting season (March to August).

How we work

Here at Branching Out, we are a family-run business who really care about providing an unrivalled level of service.

When you contact us, we will arrange for one of our qualified tree surgeons to visit your property. They will make a full assessment of what you require so we can provide a fully costed, written quotation.

If you are happy with the quote, we will then arrange a convenient time to carry out the work.

Our talented team will then use the latest equipment and the most appropriate tree pruning technique for your tree. The aim is to make your tree look better, without damaging its health.
